DJ Shark has remixed the Dinah Washinton classic Is You Is, Or Is You Ain't My Baby that appears in the new Michael Douglas/Kirk Douglas film "It Runs In The Family".
DJ Shark was asked to remix the track for a club scene in the film. Kirk's grandson, Cameron Douglas plays a DJ, the DJ Shark remix is playing in the club during the scene. The original version was from an album Dinah did with Quincy Jones. The film stars the members of the Douglas family and is the first time that Michael and Kirk have ever worked together before.
Because of film mix scheduling, the full length DJ Shark DRUM & GRACE remix was completed too late to be included on the soundtrack album but may appear on a future Verve remix compilation.
The soundtrack album contains the previously released Rae & Christian's remix of “Is You Is Or Is You Ain't My Baby.”
